Olivia Chow’s Chinese New Year Banquet

Dear friends,

For many years the annual Jack Layton and Olivia Chow New Years banquet has been a time for us to come together to reunite, to celebrate, and to look forward to the year ahead. Well, the tradition continues.

This year, please join Olivia Chow and Mike Layton as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

The annual New Years banquet has always been one of the best events of the year with live music, dragon dancing, live auctions, and an incredible dinner. This year, we’re going to ring in the Year of the Dragon with another great evening.

In honour of Jack Layton, we will be donating all proceeds from the auction and other fund raising activities during the banquet to help build a school in the Northern Ontario community of Attawapiskat. Jack Layton cared deeply about Canada’s first nations. He visited Attawapiskat and worked closely with the students and their community in their efforts to build a new school.

When: Saturday, February 11, 2012
Reception: 6:00 pm Dinner: 7:00 pm
